With the crime scene swarming with forensics and cops, Charles breaks down into tears in Faith’s arms as Trent investigates inside. Upon entering the ransacked home of Sally and Kevin, Charles spots their bodies, with Kevin lying as we see him and his wife having bled to death on a chair while tied. He deduces that someone had been keeping a watch on Charles’ landlords, Sally and Kevin, from the ADU. The place is neat and tidy, with houseplants arranged in a row, which makes Trent curious about the dirt on the floor. In the living room, Charles explains that a silver Lexus has been following him for a week now, and she confirms if he’s taken his medicines and whether he has managed to hold on to his job at The Cavinridge for almost five years.įaith calls in Trent, and he and Charles instantly bond over the ADU he lives in over the garage, overlooking his landlord’s place. Faith approaches the noise, gun at the ready, to find Jeremy’s father, Charles, who had snuck in, and he claims that he’s being followed. At Faith’s home, she and her son Jeremy enter, deep in an argument about his decision to take a semester off to go to Mexico to study the coral reefs, when they’re interrupted by a noise. Reminds you of Brian eating Peter’s food in “La Famiglia Guy” (S19 E05). Trent returns home to find Nico playing with Betty the dog, way later than they’re supposed to be here, and they also announce they’ve finished the food Trent was planning to eat. Amanda is honored by the promotion, and they drink to the latest developments. Elsewhere, in a posh restaurant, Will Trent’s supervisor Amanda dines with State Director Armstrong of the GBI, and he informs her that with him retiring, she should replace him. Moments later, a hooded entity enters and, despite the helpless man’s pleas, shoots him dead as the woman whimpers. At Druid Hills, Georgia, a couple is hastily packing their bags, deep in panic, when they hear the window panes shatter, and the man asks the woman to hide in the closet.
